Short bio

I graduated in Computer Science Engineering from the "Ecole Nationale des Sciences de l'Informatique", Tunis (Tunisia) in 1997. I was awarded Ph.D degree by the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris in 2000. My thesis work on the subject of QoS routing for elastic flows in multiservice networks was performed in France Telecom R&D laboratories. I joigned France Telecom R&D as a research engineer in 2000. My research has been mainly in the field of performance evaluation and design of traffic controls for multiservice networks. In particular, since 2002, I have been working on flow-aware networking, a new resource allocation paradigm for IP networks (e.g., Cross-protect). I received the title of Senior Expert in 2004. I am since 2005 in charge of the "Traffic and Resource Management" research team. I am member of INFOCOM, HPSR and ICC conference committees. From 2003 to 2006, I have been active in the ITU-T "Service and Network Operation" group.

Research interests:
Admission control, adaptive routing, fair queueing, flow aware networking, information-centric networking, optical networks, network performance analysis.
