Research Interests

My general research interests are in performance evaluation and design of communications networks, stochastic modelling, and resource sharing in networks. The questions I usually ask are how a system works, and how to make it perform better. Specifically, my work is focused on wireless networks, and some issues of performance analysis and design are:

• opportunistic scheduling in future wireless networks including mobility issues
• network coding with scheduling and flow control
• network coding for video transmission over wireless
• algorithm design for multi-services in IEEE 802.11 WLANs including Mesh networks
• advanced coding in WLANs
• resource allocation in cognitive radio systems
• network design for content dissemination
